Pittau and Gervais
Back in print by popular demand, a trio of irresistibly naughty and hilarious books that poke fun at outrageously bad behavior. These audacious little books for children ages three and up are a catalog of "don'ts" sure to make kids squirm and squeal with delight--and parents laugh out loud. Beloved by adults and children alike, each book in this highly entertaining collection poses a single deplorable act on every page and then playfully condemns it with the title phrase, as in: “Blowing your nose in the curtains…THAT’S DISGUSTING!”
That’s Disgusting! highlights all manner of truly gross things, from smelling a sock to never brushing your teeth. That’s Dangerous! warns about high-risk mischief like jumping down the stairs or bothering the bees. That’s Mean! calls out the worst types of antisocial behavior, such as reading other people’s mail or pulling hair. All three books are filled with endearing, childlike illustrations that demonstrate what NOT to do.
Francesco Pittau studied painting and carving at École des Beaux-Arts in France. He has written and illustrated graphic novels and now writes and produces children’s books.
Bernadette Gervais was born in Brussels, Belgium. She studied painting at École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and now illustrates books for children and young adults. Pittau and Gervais live in the countryside outside Paris with their two children and have created forty books together.
